Vandaag reisen we af naar Canada naar de provincie Ontario,
Today we travel to Canada to the province of Ontario, daar zien we bekende machines voor Nederlandse begrippen. We zien daar de Maïsoogst met een CLAAS JAGUAR met CLAAS tractoren met Veenhuis silage kiepers. De AXION bestaat 2 types de 840 en 2 de CLAAS AXION 880 de CLAAS JAGUAR die wordt gebruikt zijn van de modellen 960 waar 1 van de nieuwere generatie is. De mais wordt in een torensilo geblazen, wat we niet in Nederland zien. Wie denkt dat mais gaat rotten in de silo heeft het mis, door het eigen gewicht van de mais drukt het aan de silo is zon 20 tot 30 hoog. 5,5-7 ,meter breed

We see the corn harvest there with CLAAS JAGUAR choppers and 2 CLAAS tractors with Artsway trailers that unload from either the front for tower silos and ag bags or from the back for piles and bunker silos and 3 Veenhuis silage dumpers. These 3 AXION’s are an 840 and 2 CLAAS AXION 880’s the CLAAS JAGUAR’s used are 2 960’s where 1 is the latest series. The corn is sometimes blown into a tower silo, which we do not see in the Netherlands. Anyone who thinks that corn will rot in the silo is wrong, because the corn silage own weight which settles or compresses in the tower silo. Most silos used for silage are 20-35 meters high and 5.5-7 meters wide.
